- The National AIDS Control Organization (NACO), Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society and Chennai Corporation of AIDS Prevention and Control Society have recognized this institution as a regional training centre for Blood Bank Medical Officers, Lab Technicians, Staff Nurses, Counselors, Social Workers and Drug Inspectors.
- So far about 180 such programs have been conducted on blood bank techniques, blood component separation, rational use of blood and blood components, Donor Motivation and Counseling. Preparation of standard operating procedures and statutory requirements for blood bank.
