Back/Neck (Spine) Rehabilitation:

This form of therapy helps to promote the recovery of spinal conditions such as disc prolapse, spondylosis, spondylolysis and spondylolisthesis. It decreases the chances of acute pain becoming chronic.Treatment techniques include

Clinical Pilates

Is a form of physical exercise that focuses on posture,core stability,balance-control,strength,flexibility and breathing maneuver. It can restore natural spinal curvature and help re-establishing muscular control around the joints, its benefits include improvement of core muscle activation, better control of joint movements and greater peripheral mobility.

Post Operative Rehabilitation:

Rehabilitation is a crucial component to regain full function after surgical procedures.It reduces the risk of re-injury and further complications.It also helps you to gradually return to your work,recreation,and competitive sports more successfully. In this programme,our therapist will provide one to one guidance and exercise prescription to each patient.

We provide post operative rehabilitation for common procedures including

Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy:

Cardio pulmonary rehabilitation is suitable for patients with heart and lung conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD),pulmonary fibrosis,cystic fibrosis,pneumonia and in this programme, we also provide pre and post operative rehabilitation for patients who have undergone surgical procedures such as coronary artery by-pass graft (CABG),valve replacement,lung resection,angioplasty, and various abdominal surgeries.Its primary goal is to help patients to clear lung secretions, improve endurance and regain functional independence through individualized exercise programme which include breathing techniques,chest expansion exercises,postural drainage,chest physiotherapy and energy conservative techniques.

Various assistive device that may be used as an adjunct to therapies include incentive spirometer, cough assist device (Forced Respirator device) and respiratory muscle trainer.

We also provide outpatient based cardiopulmonary rehabilitation for the patients who have undergone major cardiothoracic surgery, this programme will help to optimize patient functions and help speed up recovery in an effective and safe manner.

Neuro rehabilitation:

This comprehensive rehabilitation regime can help the patient to maximize and regain normal muscle movement and function after a stroke or from neurological conditions with an aim to help patients relearn motor skills which have been affected due to brain lesions can move towards recovery with appropriate intervention in the form of a multidisciplinary approach which includes exercises to improve the patients muscle strength and coordination,Mobility gait training which involve learning to move assistive aids,such as walker or quad stick or an orthosis, early standing is facilitated by tilt table and in parallel bar. Post natal rehabilitation is most important right after delivery,and special emphasis is given towards pelvic floor muscles, in this programme our female physiotherapist will guide you through exercises for post delivery recovery and to reduce risk of women health complications such as stress incontinence,pelvic girdle/lower back pain and will advise you about caring your back and correct techniques when taking care of your newborn baby.
